Daniel and Jess have been working together since 2007. After falling in love with Chicago they decided to set down roots in their newly-adopted city and open Whatever Lola Wants. With Daniel's savory expertise and Jess’ love of everything sweet, these two make the perfect pair.
With 18 years of restaurant experience, Daniel has worked in all areas of the hospitality industry. After attending the California Culinary Academy, where he was classically trained in French cuisine, Daniel worked under celebrity Chef Chris Cosentino at Incanto and next, Chef Thomas Keller at The French Laundry and Bouchon. Those experiences taught him that attention to detail is everything. Most recently he has been sharing his love of all things culinary with the next generation of chefs as an instructor at Le Cordon Bleu Chicago.
After attending George Brown College's Baking and Pastry program in Toronto, Jessica followed her sweet tooth south of the border. She has worked across the industry from all-inclusive resorts to pastry and chocolate shops. Jess keeps busy during the week teaching after-school cooking and nutrition classes through Art Smith's nonprofit organization, Common Threads.

Classes are a great way to have fun, in a hands-on (or off—demo style) learning environment. As our name suggests we teach you whatever you would like to learn! From knife skills, fresh pasta, tapas, ramen, to French macarons, the possibilities are endless.
